ELIZABETH LÖWE HUNTER

Elizabeth Löwe Hunter is the daughter of two harbors – Savannah, Georgia and Copenhagen, Denmark. She examines the conditions for subjectivity, belonging, and material realities among racially minoritized people in Western Europe, specifically Denmark. She illuminates the premises and paradoxes of Modernity through transnational feminist theories, decolonial thought, and African diasporic thought, and raises questions around humanness in the West. She is a Ph.D. student in the department of African American Studies and African Diaspora Studies, University of California Berkeley.

When I think of hope...
